Battered Persons’ Advocacy seeking applicants for new Sexual Assault Service positions.

BPA was recently approved for new federal Violence Against Women Act funds allowing for needed expansion of sexual assault services in Douglas County.  The following two positions are new to the agency and will join the current Sexual Assault team housed at BPA.

P/T (.50) Sexual Assault Services Volunteer Coordinator

 Provides recruitment, training and retention of sexual assault specific volunteers at BPA. 

F/T Sexual Assault Victim Advocate

Provides direct services to sexual assault and adults molested as children survivors.

Both positions will provide crisis intervention, support services and assist Sexual Assault Services Director in team activities.

BPA has been providing services to victims for over 30 years.  Join a dynamic work environment with low staff turnover. Positions requires ability to effectively work w/ individuals in crisis, work in team setting, network w/community partners, professional attitude, strong communication skills, valid ODL, criminal background check and knowledge of violence against women. Bilingual/bicultural persons encouraged to apply.   Flexible hours w/some on call.  Associates degree and/or experience in human service field preferred.  $10.00-11.25 hr w/benefits-DOE/Q.
